Try supplementing or replacing commercial deodorant using a homemade version. Mix a tablespoon of baking soda in a cup of warm water. Add essential oils such as lavender or vanilla for scent. Add the resulting mixture to a spray bottle and use under the arm on a daily basis.

For a night time therapy that has effects that last into the day try mixing a thick past of baking soda and applying under the arm before going to bed.

Allow this mixture to remain in place for twenty-five minutes before washing away with a clean wash cloth. In the morning shower as normal and apply a commercial deodorant.

To prevent stains on clothing add talc to the pits on top of the normal deodorant. The powder will absorb moisture and discourage the body from forming more sweat. Just be careful that the power does not get onto the outside of the shirt.
